What Return is

Return is a personal meditation app. Every session is generated specifically for you based on how you feel that day. This means we collect information about your emotional state to make your practice better. We take that responsibility seriously.

What we collect

Account information: Your phone number, used for sign-in only.

Check-in data: Before each session, you tell us how you're feeling — emotions, mood, what's on your mind. This is the most sensitive data we hold, and we treat it that way.

Session data: What technique was used, how long you practiced, whether you finished, and your reaction afterward.

Your meditation profile: A short summary of who you are as a meditator, updated after every session. This is what makes your next session personal.

How we use it

Your data serves one purpose: making your meditation sessions better. Your check-in informs today's session. Your history shapes your profile. Your profile makes tomorrow's session more personal than today's.

We do not use your data for advertising.

We do not sell your data to anyone, for any reason.

We do not share your data with other users.

AI and your data

Your sessions are generated by AI (currently Anthropic's Claude). Your check-in data and meditation profile are sent to this AI to generate your session. Your session audio is generated by ElevenLabs.

We do not use your data to train AI models. Your sessions are generated, delivered to you, and that's it.

What you can see and do

You can see everything we know about you — your meditation profile, your history, your check-ins — in the app at any time.

You can delete your profile and all associated data from the app. This is permanent and immediate.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted in the United States. Session audio is stored in private cloud storage, accessible only via short-lived signed URLs.
